Basic Islamic knowledge program

Being a Muslim makes you share with all other Muslims around the world some outline or routine for every day. It means that you need to know what you should, should not, preferred and preferred not to do. And when you know what you have and don’t have to do, then you must learn how to do it. This is what we call the basic Islamic knowledge.

Basic Islamic knowledge includes the knowledge of the Five Pillars of Islam, the correct way to perform them, the mistakes that can spoil or invalidate them, their validation conditions and more. It also includes the knowledge of Halal and Haram, the etiquettes of doing things and ethics of Islam.

Every Muslim knows they have to pray five times a day, many also know or have learned by observation how to perform these prayers. But what if I don’t know the Qiblah direction? What if I missed a part while praying? What if I doubt how many Rakat I made? What if I am not sure if I am still on Wudu?

The answers to all these situations, and more, are essential for any Muslim to know, as they determine if the prayer is correct or not, if you have to redo the prayer or not. This is not only about the five prayers; it is rather the case for all other things a Muslim should do. What if I am fasting in Ramadan but I forgot and ate? Or drink? What if I broke my fasting before Maghreb by mistake? The answer is simple; If you have to do something, you have to learn how to do it. This applies for Prayers (Salah), Giving (Zakat), Fasting, and Pilgrimage.

At Ibn Malik institute we have the honor to provide this Basic Islamic Knowledge Program.
