“قَالَ صلى الله عليه وسلم: “مَنْ قَالَ سُبْحَانَ اللَّهِ وَبِحَمْدِهِ فِي يَوْمٍ مِائَةَ مَرَّةٍ حُطَّتْ خَطَايَاهُ وَلَوْ كَانَتْ مِثْلَ زَبَدِ الْبَحْر
Allah’s Messenger (ﷺ) said: Whoever says: (Subḥānallāhi wa biḥamdihi) one hundred times a day, will have his sins forgiven even if they are like the foam of the sea.

He may enter through whichever of these gates he desires (to enter).”
Tips to Engage to Dhikr Daily:
Now after we know the benefits and rewards of Dhikr, how can we start?
(1) A very important concept is “The acts most pleasing to Allah are those which are done continuously, even if they are small.” “أحب الأعمال إلى الله أدومُها وإن قلّ”. This is a saying by the prophet Muhamad PBUH. Little but daily or frequent is better than much but interrupted. It applies for sports, practice and just like everything else, it applies for Dhikr too. Start with some Adhkar, no matter how little, and make it a daily routine.
(2) Start with the small sentences Dhikr. Pick one, know the meaning and learn when to say it, then apply. Keep practicing and focusing on the same Dhikr for a while until it becomes the easy thing you say spontaneously.
For example, “Subhanallah” is a Dhikr that means Praise be to Allah or glorified is Allah. “Subhanallah” is the word to say when you want to express your surprise of wonders in nature, when you see a beautiful landscape, a wonderful sunset or a compassionate act of an animal. Then train yourself to say Subhanallah a lot and every time you see a marvel Allah SWT created. By time, you will find yourself spontaneously saying Subhanallah when you see, read or think of surprising wonders, or even for no particular reason.
(3) One of the very helpful ways to keep you reminded with Dhikr is your phone. There are many mobile applications now that offer many Adhkar to say during the day. These application makes it easy because they have an alarm or reminder for some Adhkar such as morning, evening, waking and going to bed so you can remember and read them on your phone.
(4) For Dhikr that is related to places, you can hang up a decent paper with the specific Dhikr written; on the house door for Dhikr of entering and exit of the house, outside the bathroom for the entering and exit of the toilet or on the wall in bedroom for the waking up and before sleep Adhkar. An attractive decent sign in an obvious place will remind you with the Dhikr so you can easily read it every time.
