Terms of Service

To users of ibn-malik.com and its services, If you register to a program or course at Ibn-malik.com, or your kids are enrolled in one of our programs or courses, you will agree on the following Terms of Service and Refund Policy.

Registration:

  • Students have only two opportunities for free trial lessons; one for Qur’an programs and another for Arabic programs.
  • After the free trial lesson, the student have to choose whether to join a learning program or not.
  • To apply for a program, student have to Register to Ibn-Malik.com, choose the program from our Home page or Program page, click "get the course", subscribe and fill in the Subscription Request, and the administration will contact you for the schedule, teacher and other details.
  • Students choose their suitable timings for classes in the registration form. However, due to the time differences, the administration will contact the student to adjust the schedule if needed, and will take the student’s suitable timings into consideration. The final schedule is the schedule sent to the student via hello@ibn-malik.com
  • After schedule confirmation, students have to pay in advance for the study plan student chooses through the website Pricing page.
  • To start classes a student will need a Laptop or PC, camera, headphones, Internet connection and an active Zoom account on Zoom App for live sessions. for students under 10 years old, there has to be an adult following up the class.

Class time and Delay:

  • Student should be in the meeting and prepared for the class 2 minutes before the session time, and the teacher should be in the meeting exactly on time.
  • If the student does not enter the meeting after 5 minutes, the administration sends a reminder message to the student on WhatsApp.
  • The teacher waits for 20 minutes, if the student does not enter after 20 minutes, the class is counted as unexcused absence and there will be no make-up class.
  • If the student enters the class late (less than 20 minutes), the class will end at its scheduled time.
  • If teacher does not enter the meeting after 5 minutes, the student sends the administration a message.
  • If the teacher does not enter the meeting after 20 minutes of the class time, the administration will contact the student to re-schedule the class within a week.
  • If the teacher enters the class late (less than 20 minutes), the class will last longer to compensate for the delay, or the delay will be compensated in further classes during the week.

Absence:

  • For excused absence (illness, technical issue, work or school conflict, Appointment), the student have to inform the administration at least 4 hours before the class time. Otherwise, the absence is considered unexcused.
  • Excused absence is limited according to the student’s number of hours per months. If the student exceeds their excused absence limit, their absence is considered unexcused.

4 to 10 hours per month = 1 hour per month excused absence
12 to 16 hours per month = 2 hours per month excused absence
More than 16 hours per month = 2.5 hours per month excused absence.

  • If the student is absent with an excuse, they will have a make-up class during the week.
  • Unexcused absence is counted as a paid class and has no make-up, because unexcused absence wastes the teacher’s time that was dedicated to your class.
  • If the teacher is absent for emergency, the administration will re-schedule the class during the week.
  • If the student is absent for 4 classes in row, the administration reserves the right to cancel his schedule, and no refund is made.

Teacher-Student Relation:

  • Ibn Malik administration reserves the right to attend a live class with any student and any teacher any time for quality assurance and administration work. The student will be notified before the class.
  • It is not allowed for students to share any personal information with the teachers i.e. (E-mail, credit information, bank accounts, address, etc.).
  • Students have to contact the administration about schedules, rescheduling classes, excused absence, make-up classes and payment. Any direct contact or agreement between the student and the teacher about the mentioned is informal and is totally ignored and declined by the administration.
  • Any direct contact between the student and the teacher about the program or the course (i.e. materials, assignments, quizzes) have to be through the website; private message or through the dashboard.
  • Mutual respect must be maintained in student- teacher relation. In case of misbehavior, the student/teacher have to inform the administration immediately so the administration takes the proper action.
  • If a student is under 12 years old, a parent or an adult have to attend at least one class per month with the student, and the parent have to follow up with the teacher and the administration about the student’s progress.
